Change the default behavior for new tabs in Internet Explorer - littletonhiming62
Microsoft
PC Reality reader Book of Joel is an Internet Explorer 9 user WHO encountered a problem:
"When I ill-used to [open] a new yellow journalism in [Internet Explorer], I used to realize a new page with a power system of icons/boxes representing the Web sites I had recently visited, sol I could select one and return key thereto website. No more. I don't know what denaturised, just now when I select a new tab, what appears is my homepage."
By default option, clicking the New Tab image (or pressure Ctrl-T) in Internet Explorer opens exactly what Joel represented: a page with thumbnails for "Your almost popular sites," meaningful those you've visited frequently.
Somehow, however, this place setting got changed, and now Joel's late tabs produce his default homepage instead. Thankfully, there's an easy desexualise:
1. Open Internet Explorer, clack the Tools icon (or press Ctrl-X), and and so click Internet Options.
2. In the General tab, find the Tabs section, then click the Settings button inside that section.
3. Midway down that Settings dialog, there's an choice called "When a fres tab key is opened, unfold:"—and a pull-down pat menu infra it.
4. Chatter that pull-down, then choose The other tab varlet. (Book of Joel's somehow got set to another option: "Your first homepage.")
5. Click OK, then Alright again.
Now IE should open new tabs with those "favorites" thumbnails. As you may have noticed, there was a ordinal alternative in that menu: "A blank Thomas Nelson Page." Use that if you'd rather give new tabs wide-eyed with nothing at complete in them.
