STEP 1. Okay the first step like always will be about drawing out the guidelines and circles shapes to form a frame for the chimera. First start by drawing all of the circles starting with the middle five. Draw two big circles that overlap each other, then one, two, three, more shapes that go down in a row. Now move to the tops and draw a circle shape for each individual head. After you draw out all the round shapes in this step you can start drawing out the guidelines. Starting from the heads draw curved lines that all connect to the middle. The head to the right has two lines on top of the head for the horns, this is the goat. The shape in the middle is the lion, and the shape to the left is the serpent. After you finish here move down to the next step. STEP 2. Okay now in this step to drawing the chimera you will be drawing out the actual outside body frame. The easiest way to do this is to start at the heads and work your way down. Go to the under part of the large circles that will be the belly and draw a curved line for the front of the lions neck and back of the head. Now move over to the right and draw a similar line for the goats head and neck. And finally move to the left and draw the snakes front face which should resemble a crabs claw, and follow the lining until it reaches the side of the lions neck. Next you can draw out the shape of the legs using the circles as a size guide. STEP 3. Here in this step as you can see you will be drawing more detail on the chimera. Detail and definition on sketches and drawings is extremely important to make them come to life. Starting at the head of every animal on the sketch detail the faces of the monsters. All you have to do is use the visual image as your guide. As you can see this step you have to draw out the eyes, ears, nose, and mouths. That wavy looking piece near the bottom of the leg is the hair. On the snake don't forget to draw the fangs and tongue. After you complete this step move to step 4. STEP 4. Now this step contains some serious detailing. Lets start with the snake since he really doesn't have a whole lot to sketch in. Start with the eye ball, a simple line going down his eye would complete this task. Now pressing slightly down on your pencil sketch the inside of the mouth and teeth, then go down the body of the serpent and sketch in some lines.Move to the middle of the lion now and again start at the head and draw the fuzz on the chin, and the wavy flowing hair. You have to also detail the hair as you sketch it out. Add and earring and move down to the neck and sketch out each individual scale that runs down the body of the neck. Move down and detail the leg and foot the same way as you did the lion, and sketch the hair a whole lot better too. Now lastly detail and define the goats mouth, and sketch in the same style scales and detail the paw hidden way in the back and the foot to the left. After you do this you can erase all the guidelines circle shapes and sketch marks. STEP 5. For those of you that use Photoshop here is a good tip on how to draw out the chimeras scales. To read this tip all you have to do is enlarge this step and you will see how easy it is to draw out scales in Photoshop CS. STEP 6. All you do is fill in the rest of the details of the chimera. This includes the snake's head, the lion's hairline and the snakes tail. After that your ready for the lineart finish! STEP 7. fAnd finally this is what your chimera should look like when you are completely done. See wasn't that easy. All you have to do now is color you chimera in any color you wish.
